I agree with most of your comments suzy. I've never been involved with
ancestry and have been with my heritage for around 3 years now. If not for
the records they have from all of us our family trees would barely exist,
however we ALL feed my heritage, ancestry etc the info and their annual
membership costs are quite high, notwithstanding the fact they direct debit
our accounts, without any prior notice. Although I recently discovered I
the 'small print' that is what they do, I don't know any other company who
doesn't send an email just prior to deducting the funds. As far as dna and
some other things you've mentioned, I haven't used any of that as yet.
