We will have to inform TCGR of the incompatibility of the program with W10…. if
it is a W10 issue. I am using W7. Because W10 is relatively (!) new, there
might be an extra requirement (update, add-on, registry setting) needed for/in
W10. Anyone using TCGR on W10?

I wouild have liked to try this program, but when trying to run the install
program I am told
it can't be ran on my PC.
It says the programs run on Microsoft Windows platforms, and I do have Win 10
all upgraded,
so I really wonder why. Unfortuneately it isn't possible to communicate with
the company.

TCGR is cheap to buy and a must have as a report writing addition to Legacy
(for charts, Legacy and it’s Legacy Charting v9 extension are the ones I use).
Both Legacy and TCGR are amazing programs but because of the richness and
versatility, both have quite a steep learning curve. Once more or less mastered
(I still don’t use all features) I find especially Legacy to be very easy and
smooth to work with.
SourceWriter is my latest discovery…. the question if you want to use the
SourceWriter templates to enter your new source is a totally redundant question
and should always be answered with a big and bold YES. (and the program can
remember your decision…. ). When adding a new Master Source, bookmark the type
of source you (most) frequently use at that time and select one of your
bookmarked source types; saves you to scroll through the very rich list of many
(over 2,500) source templates. Then go to step 2. Very handy and quick and the
end-result of using the source templates is a beautiful, versatile and
consistent source list.

One reason is that I have a poor experience of how permanent a URL is. It can
be changed or removed and by now, FamilySearch requires a login, which
significantly limits the availability.
I have so far downloaded pictures and linked them to my database with reference
to the source.
But, I now have more than 1000 pictures and especially my backup become very
big, I'm also considering incorporating movies and audio which does not
improve the case.
One solution could be to upload the movies to my private cloud (Onedrive) and
link them to Legacy
Some other ideas?

If you put them in notes it will work.
To use the ones from the Media Gallery needs a programming change which is why
I said to send in the suggestion as I can't check at the moment to see if it's
there.
