Wasn't wanting an submerge, but a quick duplicate individual. Pieces of info belonged to each of the 2 real people. So I wanted to then choose what to delete in the original and new person definitions.
Thanks, Andrew

It would also be nice to be able to click on a button and have the searched fields made into a new record.I would think it a similar approach to duplication.Ok Perhaps not :-)But Perhaps if You did a select, save, create new (Cntr N) and then Copy Cntr R until data runs out , The majority of Fields would be created in a new Rin.IanIanOn Sun, Jun 2, 2019 at 3:07 PM <dwqusc@gmail.com> wrote:This approach seems to work:
Tag the individual(s) you want to duplicate.
Export a gedcom with only the tagged individuals included.
Import the gedcom into your family file - the duplicates will have new RINs,
separate from the "originals."

Subject: [LegacyUG] Anyone know of a quick way to duplicate an individual?
Hi,
I've been doing a lot of intense updates recently trawling probate records.
One thing I'd love to be able to do quickly when having to split current
information stored against 1 person into 2 separate people (same name, just
a new RIN) is duplicate my current individual record... I looked for any
such feature but could not find anything. Any others know how to do this?
Thanks so much,
Andrew ROBBIE
