On the individual display the MRIN no for the couple is the middle one of
the three numbers at the bottom right corner of the display. Alternatively,
the Marriage List will give you a list of every marriage along with the
MRIN and the individuals

To run a Multiple Lines of Descent, you need to provide a list of the
starting points. These would normally be the oldest individuals in that
part of the tree. The report will work down from those people. As I recall
(and may be wrong) if your oldest ancestors has no marriage you will find
that there is a dummy marriage record for them that you can use, with the
other person listed as Unknown.

You do not need to include any marriages below the starting points, so
basically you can start with all of your oldest ancestors and that of your
spouse's ancestors, and then let the report work through all of them.

The report will process the marriages in the sequence that you give it.
Where you have the same people occuring twice, because you have two lines
merging, you can report on the second as a reference to the first record
that it found, which will stop the report just repeating the same
information and the common descendents.

As I recall the result is limited to no more than 300 starting marriages.
The list of starting numbers can be individual MRiNs, or a range if you can
find a set in sequence and the correct order.

Regards

Chris
