One of my issues with merging is, I'm always afraid I'm going to get the person with the least amount of info. I get the part about selecting the "dot" with the given name for example vs the given name & middle initial but if I have parents for example or story on one side I'm not sure I'm getting the parents or the story too. I have used the feature to switch right & left and sometimes I get the person with less info. I learned the hard way so now just in case I mess up I make a PDF so I can go back and fill in the info I didn't carry over.
