No. When you click on the Copy to Clipboard icon at the bottom right of the Assigned Sources screen you are asked "The Source Clipboard currently contains a Source. Do you want to Overwrite it or Cancel?" There are buttons for those options. I could be wrong, but I don't think you can switch off that prompt.
