Point well made. Same sex relationships are genealogically irrelevant. I have a
relationship with my cat in that we live under the same roof. I love him dearly,
but he isn't or ever will be relevant to my family genealogy. The relationship
produces nothing that would contribute to the family heritage. He adopted me <G>
but that doesn't make us a family. We're roommates, nothing more. If you want to
track an inheritance get a home lawyer program - this is tangential to genealogy.
This sort of thing can be put into notes ie: aunt Harriet got the Van Gogh.

Could it be that there are those who have an agenda other than genealogy? Legacy
is for recording real families. Genealogical "political correctness" has no place
in family history - only revisionist history. Same sex genealogy is an oxymoron.
