RINs & User IDs can be printed and they can be
displayed on the Name List also. The only thing is
that User IDs can not be sorted by that field. If you
didn't want to import from Ancestral File you can
even use that location for an user ID and it is viewable
as well as printable, and useable for merging the
same people. BE CAREFUL, using it for other than
its intended use!!!
The church uses a modulo 16 check sum method of
some sort. If you used a method that interleaves
with their code they could both be used by individuals
at the same time without interference. The church has
a filter that does not allow incorrect codes to be
inadvertantly used on their system.
