I am entering German names. The person who preceded me in transcribing these
German records (now deceased) use a program incapable of using foreign
characters, so she added and 'e' after the a, o, or u. I like being able to
use the foreign characters in Legacy. The problem I have encountered is in
editing places in the master list. I like putting in the Lat and Long, but
there is no access to foreign characters in that screen. I can always edit
the place in the person edit screen, then go to place list and combine the
resulting two places, then edit and add the Lat and Long., but that is
cumbersome. I could use the ALT-num method, but can't remember the numbers.
