FTW has a habit of saving their family files with the whole name of the file
you import from. It is most likely a .ftw file.

Looks as though someone just added an extra extension, Robin. Try deleting
the second dot and the 'ftw" on the end. Gedcom files should be named
"xxxx.ged" - with the added ending Legacy can't recognize it as a gedcom
file.
