I am currently evaluating Version 3 (Demo) of Legacy.
I am also a user of Ultimate Family Tree and would like to possibly migrate over
to Legacy (due to Genealogy.com's decision to stop production & support of UFT).
However, I have a problem reading some of my notes and sources imported form UFT
(and also from an old DOS based program called ROOTS III). It seems the foreign
characters (i.e. �, �, �, �, etc, etc) in the notes fields do not come out
legibly. I notice one can edit these characters, but I have thousands and it
would be impossible to go through my whole database. Is there a way to correct
this? In the name fields these characters appear correct, but not in the notes
fields or in the source fields.
If this cannot be presently corrected, then would a future ugrade be able to
look into this particular problem?
