Hello Ken, I tried to encircle the problem which I reported before. As far as I can see the problem must be somehow in context with tagging the locations. When I choose the option "untag all records" and than tag a record the program reports that there are no tagged records. When I repeat this procedure the record is tagged properly and deleted or moved to the notes. When I then continue cleaning up the location list locations which were processed before disappear from the location list an from the file. By this my grandfather lost his birth place. This mistake does not appear when I choose the untag option for all reports before I start the next working step. However I have to call up the concerned location twice. Bernd
