I tried this out. Pressing F1 brings up help just like it is supposed to
do. I tried this with both "Detail Text" in the source windows and with
notes (general, resource, etc) open. F1 worked correctly, even if I press
ctrl-c or another key first.

However, if I have any text window open (detail text under source or notes)
and there is text - then the press of any key will cause the message to pop
up if I click the cancel button. If the text field is empty, I don't get
the message.

Everything seems to be working like a charm....

Just for yuks, I tried pressing <F1> (a.k.a. Help) while in the "Detail
Text"
field. I was prompted.

Sounds to me like the programmers assumed that any keystroke means the text
was changed.
