I have downloaded half a dozen ged files from LDS today. I click the
download button, select 'save to disk' and send them to my desktop. I opened
them in Genview for a look see and then Legacy for the few that had
something I needed. Every one ran fine. I have had the same problem on LDS
before, however; right after they revamped the site. I notice they just did
this again - adding the SS info list to the search results. Perhaps it will
calm down after a day or two.

Thank you Liz......I don't know what I'm doing because I am so new to this
genealogy stuff. At least I'm doing it right and you are getting the same
as me. Surely someone has done a dl from the lds site. Come on guys! tell
Liz and I the secret. This user group is wonderful. I read all the emails
that come in and I got an answer to a question I hadn't asked about the
split screen view opening 2 different family files. Thanks whomever :-)
