As a new users who just discovered those boxes, I'll try to help. Legacy provides these boxes to increase navigation speed. Often you are working with up to three families to add or edit data. When the program opens on you as the preferred start-up family, but you want to quickly get to three other families you are currently working on, then: In Family View, Highlight the name of one of the spouses on active family A, then right click on lower box 1. Repeat the above for two other families B and C in lower boxes 2 and 3. Then, just click on the name in those lower boxes to jump to their family view page. If you place your cursor on one of those boxes, a message pops up that reminds us of the above feature. Isn't Legacy Great! Larry ----- Original Message ----- From: "jo harper" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Legacy User Group" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, July 31, 2001 9:15 PM Subject: [LegacyUG] Bottom Left Corner I have a question that I just know someone or two here will be able to answer. First I should probably say that I have Legacy 3.0 Deluxe with the most current build, though this has been going on for a time, and that I've set myself as the preferred startup person on my database. Here's my question: Whether in family view or pedigree view, at the very bottom of the screen on the left is a blank box that says, when I scroll over it, "help window". Just above that, again to the very left, is a blue clickable arrow, that when I click on it, a dialog box pops up and says "warning, there are no bookmarks". Just to the right of that blue arrow is a box labeled "1". In the box is my father's name. Box numbers 2 and 3 are just to the right of box number 1, and both 2 and 3 are blank. To the right of them all are these things that say Tags, and have numbers and arrows. I don't know anything about tags yet. Why is my father's name in that box at the bottom of the screen? Is there a way to not have it there? Thanks for helping me to understand what's going on here, and how best to make use of whatever it is. jo Jo Harper Nebraska, USA mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp
