When I am in Pedigree View, there are two large boxes, top left and bottom
left, that give extra information.
The top left large box has a list of spouse and children. There are extra
symbols by some of the names:-
A + after the name means that person has children,
There is a symbol after the name that means (I think) the person has a
spouse but no
children
What does a ! after the name mean?
What does a * before the spouse name mean?
Are there any other symbols used here - where in help can I find info on
them please?
In particular, is there a symbol that indicates there is information
contained in the database about the spouse's parents?

There are lines to these large boxes that, to me in my ignorance, seemed to
indicate these boxes gave extra info about the people the lines connect to.
Not so. The extra info is about the person highlighted (the Current Person).
I keep finding this confusing. I realise it is a minor thing but is there
any way for me to change these connecting lines so that they connect the
middle left person directly to their parents *without* going behind the
extra info boxes?
If not, any chance Legacy might do this in v4?
