Well now they say they fixed it!!! Only time will tell. It a very good piece if software and I USE IT! And I RECOMMEND IT! But it has many bugs in it, if its used to its potential! And as you say they seem to ignore there problems and work on bells and whistles! If they don't fix these errors it will fall by the wayside as people get there data bases larger and larger and that is happening on a regular schedule as many are just coping off of ? Ancesrty.com and importing them in! But what ever. The import part of Legacy needs a lot of work its so slow you can go to sleep just waiting for ! If one doesn't believe this all they need do is try the same file in another program. When importing in sometime people are in the file, but won't show on your screen?? You can restart the software and they will be there?? Its probably just a video problem! You some times can ask it for a RIN number it won't find that number? But restart it and it will! The drag and drop feature is great !! when it works! Sometimes it will not work till you reload! Then sometimes you can drag a person into your data and this person don't show on the screen?? Again probably the same ! Sometime when you drag a person in it will skip the merge process and you got to go dig him out? Well if its one person that not to bad but if it was a family it's a rather large job. You can get a run time error and lock up the computer!!! When you reload, You can find your notes on the people you were working on messed up. I have had it put words in every where!!!!! Big problems, But at least with the Search and Replace feature you can find them and remove them MAYBE!! If you get a runtime error you had better do a cold boot!!!! Or you can have big problems!!! It is a very good program and I think most don't use it up to it's potential and probably have very little trouble But I can see this little old person sitting here! With these errors ! Now what do I do wait till my grandson comes over to help me?? Cause 9 times out of 10 you will not get a answer. Just a reload the software and it will go away! That not a cure that's a small fix! You say you hope they listen? They will listen if its discussed right here often enough All these people are being used and if you don't think so just read the mail. As I say GOOD SOFTWARE JUST NEEDS SOME REPAIRS DONE!! And ISUPPORT IT ON AS MANY AS 100 DIFFERENT WEB PAGES. And their comments about Microsoft! WONDER WHAT THEY WOULD BE DOING IF HE HAD NOT COME UP WITH WINDOWS? Maybe they would be in the soup lines as they mention! Maybe you don't like windows but it sure works every day!!
