Although Ruth Ann is correct, that it didn't work the way Felix had described
it, but he sure put me on the right path, and I really appreciate it.
Everything was right except: "Select: Direct Line Descendants without
children" because that gives me just the descendants that have no children,
so my two daughters (who have no children) are included, but I'm not (it's
supposed to be a list of descendants of my gr-gr-gr-grandfather). So I tried:
"Youngest Direct-Line Generation" and it worked!!!!. My children was
selected, I was selected, my Mother, her siblings, her father etc., but non
of the spouses of these people, and that's exactly what I wanted. Thanks
again Felix. And Ruth Ann, it gives the number of people in that list, so if
you just subtract 1 (for the original person) then you have the number of
descendants, so no more exporting.

Won't work.  1.  Why the condition on "no descendants"? -
not what was asked for.  2. I assume the person wants *all*
descendants, not just males - this will pick up all direct
descendant males plus all husbands of direct descendant
females.

Quite frankly, this is one query I would like to be able to
do (number of descendants) - so far the only way I've found
is to use GenViewer or export/Import to (excuse me for
mentioning!) Family Tree Maker.
