I've tried several ways to change colors because my wife's
eyesight requires special contrasts she can handle. I tangled
with a method provided by some guy in Poland or elsewhere before
finding out that W95 has an almost identical method. I've tried
changing Legacy with even less success. Ken indicated once, I
think, that better facilities for changing colors was in the
future. However, the percentage of any programmer's audience,
that is partially or almost totally blind, is VERY small. So the
amount of attention they get is very very small.
PAF3 was/is the best for my wife, so she still uses it. PAF4 and
PAF5 each have a different color plan, both of which aaren't very
good for visually impaired.
I realize Legacy programmers have a lot on their plates, and
changing colors may be more difficult than I realize, but in as
much as they have to choose colors anyhow, providing a common
color-selection routine for EACH element of the program,
shouldn't be monumental.
For anyone experimenting with the color changing facilities that
already exist, MAKE A BACKUP before you start experimenting.
Good luck.
