GENDEX ENTRY PROBLEMS!!!!!
I have tried for the last few days tried to enter a GENDEX file and cannot
have the site ftp.gendex.com accept my file. I am using the "WS_FTP 95 LE
Ipswitch" program. I used my supplied ID, and Password and find I cannot
enter the site. However if I use "anonymous" then I enter my "password" this
enabled me to enter the site. Proceeded and selected the radio button
"ASSCII" and then in the LH box field located my "Gendex" file and
"Selected" it, (which I tried to enter as unaltered from the program
(named "gendex") and also tried with the instructions from Gendex (ref.
artical below) as a renamed file as ("ogilvy" just the word without any
stops, commars Etc) and then I proceeded to the RH Box double clicked on
the "Pub" folder the have it only showing ! Clicked on the Transfer button
and I receive the error of " 553 ogilvy.txt : Permission denied" This
happens with either files!! By the way I used "ASCII" and tried "Automatic
detect" in the Session Properties Box. The question is should I use a
different "Host Type" or is there a problem with the "Gendex" file created
in Legacy 3.0!!
Any suggestions???
