Subject: [LegacyUG]Question: Adoption

I am reunited with a daughter I had relinquished to
adoption back in 1961. We've been in a lovely reunion
since 1993. One of the things she has asked for is her
family tree. I want to record the information that
she was raised by her adoptive family. I'm wondering
where I'll enter this information in Legacy (so far
just thought it would be a note of some kind that
would not necessarily print.) If it was "accurate" in
reflecting how our families see this, it would show
both of her sets of parents. Can't see how the program
would handle THAT though.

Now with "Open Adoptions" with the blood family
information known, I can't be the first wondering how
to handle this so I'm hoping to hear something from
others.

I also recognize that there may be people on the list
who are not comfortable with the idea of these
reunions, but I hope for the purpose of this list we
can simply stay on the topic of how to handle the
software. If someone has questions in general on this
topic, I would be happy to correspond off-list.
