>My question is...........my very first generation started with an Archibald
>Dorothy. In the Generation program he was #1. After I imported to Legacy,
>he was #219........why would this be and do you think I did something wrong?
>If so, could you tell me what it was? In big, bold letters? lol

While importing in Legacy, you had better to choose
"Try to keep original ID numbers - RINs
and uncheck "Fill all existing abandoned RINs"
Perhaps you would have kept all RINs the same as in Generations.

Repairing Archibald Dorothy:

1/ In Family view (the opening screen), search for Archibald Dorothy, and
click on his name to highlight it.
2/ Menu Tools, Renumber RINs
3/ Choose Individuals - first radio button :
renumber 219 to 1.
Apply.

4/ As Legacy must have modified the other RINs you would get a cleaner file
by choosing
Individuals, Fill all missing RINs from highest RIN.
So the highest RIN number will correspond to the number of people in your
file, and you will no longer get an individual with a RIN of 499 - for
example - in a file of 350 people.

Hope it will help.
