Thank you Wm Voss and Louise Par for pointing out how Embedded Text Formatting (Deluxe Edition only) allows for control over what is italicized in source citations. The shortcut keys can be enabled at Customize>Options>Fonts. Help says the codes are honored when producing html files, so they should work on web pages too. It will be a lot of work to redo my notes to take advantage of some of the other codes, but the finished product will be well worth it.
