Just wondered why Mary Willett has an AKA of Willett? That is her name, not
an AKA or did she go by the nickname "Willett"?

Subject: [LegacyUG] AKA addition during 3 to 4 conversion

My file has over 53,000 persons. Most now have an AKA of surname, title
(if present). Example: Hooker, Rev. for Rev. Samuel Hooker. His wife is
AKA Willett, for Mary Willett. During the file conversion from 3.0
Deluxe to 4.0 Deluxe, the conversion hung up twice. Some of the early RINs
have two added AKAs. Those at the end have no added AKA. Running Windows
98 updated. The 3.0 file was subjected to all of the File Maintenance
procedures before conversion.

Is there any fast way of removing these added AKAs?

One at a time would be a huge chore.
