Peter, I think what was meant is that there is already a dedicated burial date and place field (not an event) for burial that is separate from the death field.  That's why we were curious what you were using a burial event for.  I always like seein gwhat people do differently and finding out why because sometimes they're good ideas I hadn't thought of.

Why I created a burial event is because dying and being buried areseparate events.  I have instances of that for several of my people.Also, they may occur in different places.
