I have no problem believing that you created books on 5 different couples and all had pictures properly associated.
My picture associations on both Descendent books were not properly associated as I had previously described. The descendent charts were properly associated. So what does that mean - I will put it this way. I also had closed and reopened Legacy a couple of times and continued to get the erroneous picture association. after each time I reopened Legacy. I finally closed legacy and quit the computer for awhile - although I did not turn off the system. Just let it set doing nothing. I finally came back, went on line and reviewed your response about 5 couples. I then opened Legacy and did exactly as I had done when I was receiving the picture disassociation - you guessed it! The pictures are now correctly associated, husband to husband and wife to wife. I can do no more than accept it - I will not attempt to explain it. What did you mean by "re-check your file paths". What is there to check? I include husband and wife pictures with the family view correctly positioned with husband and wife. I preview a Descendent book and the pictures were transposed, I previewed the Descendent Chart and the pictures were correctly positioned. I fail to understand how as a user we have any control over the "file paths" of pictures appearing in their correct locations in the basic family view. A moot point now that the pictures are appearing in the correct association with husband and wife. Now as to your request to post in Plain Text. When I remember to do so I will be most pleased to comply with the request. However, it should be noted that most of my e-mail correspondence requires Rich Text (HTML). It should also be noted that like most people, I occasionally forget to reset the Plain Text option before posting and with the exception of these few messages I very seldom post to this forum except when I have a problem. Consequently, it is quite likely that I will in the future unintentionally post in HTML. I too have read the discussions about Plain Text versus HTML on this forum. It seems to me that the problem lies not with the people posting to the forum for failing to use Plain Text but with Legacy itself who developed a forum whereby e-mail is posted as opposed to responding with Posts to a forum from within the forums software itself. Examples being Ancestor.com, FTM forums and a host of additional forums. Personally as much as I hope to comply with requests for Plain Text e-mail to the Legacy forum, I personally feel that to keep on telling people to post in Plain Text is a clear manifestation of rudeness. If there is truly a problem reading HTML postings (and I am certain there must be) the problem appears to be more with the host of this forum than with the users of this forum. Consequently, I would suggest to those who have a problem with HTML postings that you direct your complaints to Legacy who hosts the forums and not toward users who have their e-mail set to use HTML and who only occasionally post to the legacy forum. Suggest that the host (Legacy) develop a forum from which posting occurs within the forum in a format determined by the host of the Forum. Other forums use that approach and I have my first time to be critiqued for posting in HTML - a format that I have always used prior to my exposure to the Legacy forum.
