I agree the only thing that I can think of as to why it is not picking up
the dup.'s on merge id that the merge section is not set to check enough
info and needs changing, I set mine to include blank info I get people I
know are not dup's but I also do not have any left when I am done.
We maintain a large database for our county and input gedcoms a lot an as
you know if one key stroke is different the program  doe not consider them
the same person ie John S  John S. etc..
The reason that we are using Legacy is the merge feature, the original
person that started the data base was an FTW user from its inception and did
not want to change until I proved to him that the merging capabilities of
Legacy were far superior.
