Carl, I was all ready to complain (not FLAME you even in
private) about the fact
that you stated AF was essentially a dead data base. First I
wanted to get the story
from the source - Family History Center - where I volunteer.
No one was sure. So
I called Salt Lake Operations. You're almost right. Although
they are accepting
input it goes into a holding file with no output. None since
5 Jan 1998. They are
"working" on a replacement program. The person I talked to
said they hoped it
would happen before they retired in about 10 years. Very
sad.
