I'm sorry, but where do you find this "this couple had X children" sentence?
If it is a created event and you have deluxe, you can configure it any way
you wish.

I have an event under the marriage labeled "children" where I add this
information and include the source within the event note.

Unfortunately there is an automatic sentence in descent reports that says
"this couple had X children" [X being the number of named children.]  There
is no way to delete or alter this sentence that I have been able to
discover.
