Some people seem to think that every source has to be a
court/church/census or some such record to be a source. And some seem
to think that every source has to be correct. If I find any info at
all I source it, I have an engraved hammer head that was presented to
my grandfather when crossing the equator in a particular ship in
1892. That is a high surity source. I also have sources that have
been proved to be incorrect, however they are still a source for
wrong info, with details re why they are incorrect and a 0 surity.
Sooner or later a lot of sources will be either proved or disproved,
but there are lots that will always be in a gray area with a low
sutiry. How can anyone really prove that a certain event happened 200
years ago when there are only the bearest records surviving. We have
to take these records and hope they are right, and if we can find
substanciating records, then so much the better..Jean from Tuross
