How about exporting to a GEDCOM, editing the GEDCOM to SEARCH and
REPLACE the field tags to the correct identifier, then import into a new
file.

Subject: [LegacyUG] In event occupation, description and notes inversed
- my fault

Hello,
For months, I have been making a big mistake in event, occupation :
occupation is the only event I ever entered, but I had not understood
the use of the fields "description" and "notes".
So, when I export a gedcom file, others genealogy software often do not
recognize the occupations in my file, sometimes they put it in the
general notes. The mistake is the following one, for more than 500
people in my tree: I put the occupation name in the event's "note"
field, instead of placing it in the "description" field. Would somebody
have an idea about moving the profession's name from the field "note"
into the field "description", without making that 500 times manualy ?

Michel
