Coleeen,

He can go to our website at
http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/HelpCommonSolution1.asp and follow the steps
there. One change - Microsoft changed website URLs on us twice in the past
couple of weeks and our webmaster is having a hard time keeping up with them
<rbg> The correct URL for step 2 is
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;282010

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Need help for brand-new user

Hi! A distant cousin contacted me earlier this week (I didn't even know his
grandma existed, but I had his great-grandpa!) and when he asked about
software, I sent him to Legacy. He couldn't get the software to open
properly after downloading. This was the error message:

Error Opening Database
The Jet VBA file (VBAJET.dll for 16-bit versions, or VBAJET32.dll for 32-bit
versions) failed to initialize when called. Try reinstalling the
application that returned the error. Would you like to TRY IT AGAIN? (Yes
No Quit) Does he need to uninstall/reinstall Legacy? Go to MS for an
upgrade on his VBAJET32.dll? Could it be a conflict with an
already-installed version of Access? There's no error number to search
on...

TIA
