Hi Jan,

I attach the census photo (usually from ancestry.com) to the master source
itself. In this way the copy is available to all who are cited using this
particular source and I can choose to print source pictures with reports if
I want. I have found this to be easier than having attached to every
individual's census event and besides, when printed with the event in
reports they print too small to be easily read.

Note: I create a new source for each county of the state for each census
year...
I will create a source as an example: Edwards Co., IL 1850 census...
I then transcribe the census info into the source text area, include any
observations in the source comment area, attach my repository info and then
add the photo of the census record for all families listed in that county
for that year. (often times having many different census photos linked).

Hope this helps :-)

It makes sense to me to attach the census images to a census event. That's
where I keep mine.

I have been citing census information, using an Event for each census.
This seems to work best for me. But I've decided to go back and save
copies of
the actual images. Where should I add this images, event picture, master
source picture or source detail picture? I had hoped that when I went back
and
added the picture as a source detail picture it would add itself to all
using
that source detail, but I was wrong. So, if I am going to have to add it
manually to
everyone again, where do you guys keep census images?
 Thanks in advance!
