If you wish to move all your images to a single new directory, change the path to that directory in Options/Customize/Locations/Default location of picture files. If you are going to use multiple directories, then you would do best to grit your teeth and manually change the path image by image.

Is there a way to tell Legacy a default loctaion to start its search from for missing pictures vs searching through the whole drive for each picture (I have 90gig of files and it takes a loonngg time to search for each picture)? This is not the same as 'default location of family files' , however if it started looking there that would be helpful.
