I sure do like the suggestion from Hugh that LUG messages would benefit from a division of the CL (computer literate, meaning those interested in amending Legacy) and O (other; meaning those interested in using the available program instead of amending it). I am in that (majority?) group of O customers who appreciate the efforts of the CL group and am looking forward to getting back to more tips and solutions on using the great program I have.
As to the cost of Legacy, just compare it to the cost of any program with at least half the quality. I am sure the staff is not getting rich while creating what is (in my opinion) the richest computer genealogy program on the market. If someone points out that some others are free, remind them that so is Legacy in the Standard Edition that is still more quality than most other premium programs at greater cost. As a side bar; there is no free lunch. Don't forget to point out that Legacy has the best support program, hands down. So far I have found the only limitation is using Legacy has been my time to learn its many functions better (the manual/Help and videos have sure helped), but then I don't try to confuse Genealogy and Family History by trying to merge DNA with TLC, or get up tight about the appearance of - vs. to, etc. In all, I would have been willing to pay more and am amazed it can be priced so low (compared to my monthly phone bill or postage costs, etc.). Probably preaching to the choir, but even the choir can sometimes use some selling ideas. On Wed, 19 Nov 2003 07:34:16 -0600 "J.
