Speaking of merging, let me pass on a couple of observations:

Merging Two Individuals: Issues/Observations:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
When merging two individuals that have only standard events, the "Events"
tab of the "Merge Two Individuals" window show no events at all. The
'source citation button' is also "uncolored". This continues to be the case
even when there are source citations to any or all of the standard events
including the 'unspecified' event.

Why wouldn't/shouldn't the 'source citation button' be "colored" when there
ARE source citations? (Even though they are only to standard events (which
are displayed on the 'general' tab).) At least you would know that you are
merging/adding sources to the left-hand person.

I guess I'm looking for a 'Sources' tab like we have on the "Name List"
window.

I note that you can get the Source Citations display by clicking on "Edit
Left" or "Edit Right" and the click the citations button. And all sources
from "right hand person" ARE merged (ie: added to) the left had person when
you click the merge button.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------
Clicking on "<<Append" on the "Notes" tab, immediately performs the edit
(append text) to the left side person's note field without ever clicking the
"Merge Right Individual into Left Individual" button! However, using the
Edit/Undo Merge command with also undo this implicit note text merge. This
'immediate edit' DOES match what you see on the screen when the text is
copied and appended into the left pane. I think this is one of the nuances
that you just have to be aware of so that you're not caught off guard
thinking you always have to click the merge button. You also don't get the
'merge complete' message if you just exit by clicking the 'close' button or
'x'. Other "text edit" buttons or just typing edits in the text window are
also immediate edit situations. As always, the Edit/Merge/Undo is only
available during the current open session for the particular family file.

These items might be more fully explained in the Help/documentation files.
