Graham, the problem was solved by doing a sort in the wife's list - thanks
for your help and sorry for taking up your time.
Regards,
Harry

Harry - just re-read your last e-mail - have you entered the marriages as
Events? Graham

Graham,

I am not sure what you mean there, but the Summary tab for the man in
question shows Family1 [for the first spouse] and Family2 [for the second
spouse]. The events tab shows Marriage1 and Marriage2 in the correct order.
In the Families List the marriages are in the appropriate ID order.

Thanks,
Harry

Have you set the marriage order? Click on the Spouse icon and check they
appear in order. Graham

Subject: [LegacyUG] Sequencing in Descendants Report

I have, in a Descendants Report, a man who was twice married. The first
marriage is shown in 1922 and the second in 1930 The marriage dates are
shown in the Report. The Report shows each marriage and the offspring of
each marriage OK but it shows the second marriage [with offspring] first.
The expression "next married" prefixes details of the first marriage which
is shown 2nd in sequence. Perhaps I have the settings wrong but that is not
obvious to me. Can someone advise me please?

Regards to the group.
Harry
