The problem is similar to Hebrew calendar.

>From about 1792 to 1802, all the french documents
referred to dates quite different from Gregorian
calendar (if I remember there were only 10 months in a
year).
Some french softwares accept dates in this specific
calendar.
This could be useful for people who have french
ancestors.

Anywway, with Legacy, I write the revolutionary date
in the notes. And there are softwares which translate
these dates in Gregorian calendar (like there are
softwares which translate from Hebrew calendar).

I think he was referring to a different calendar
format, not holidays.
We've also had requests for the Hebrew calendar, both
are worthy of
considering.
