Obviously it is important that we follow the rules of the LUG so I will not
respond here to a couple of posters on the privacy issue.

However, it seems to me, and I often mention this, that the group has a lot
more garbage posted every day than just off-topic issues. And that garbage
takes up more room EVERY day, yet it is given little critical mention by the
LUG sponsors.

Of course I am talking about the screen after screen of quoted posts after a
response when only a few lines is sufficient. Taking care of that problem
does at least two things: (1) it keeps people from getting infuriated at the
lack of consideration of others by those who dump that garbage here (2) it
does a lot more to clean up the LUG digests than reminding a few of us to
stay on topic. It seems to me that the arterial bleeding should be attended
to before the broken fingernail. I can think that because my bottom line
doesn't depend on Legacy...

A word of caution: Please, let's not start another series of OT posts by
replying to me here. If you must reply, I suggest e-mail with a precisely
worded subject so you won't get deleted before I read what you said.

And, like Jan Roberts, I snipped most of Sherry's post below....

>From: "Support" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
>Subject: [LegacyUG] Off-topic posts
>There has been quite a stream of off-topic posts the past couple of days
>about posting living on the website, identifying information, etc.

>While these topics are of interest to genealogists, I'd like to ask you all
>to please restrict your posts to topics relating directly to Legacy!
