I have been having a strange kind of occurrence lately
Have ver 5.0.0.82 1 Jan build running Windows XP Have 63,701 entries
Was entering a family thus:
I copy and paste data into the notes then enter it into the persons data
suddenly, what I had in notes was not staying in the persons data fields
including the name data...This is my habit because I only have one good hand
to do entry with and copy & Paste makes it easier for me.
......I tried to do a back-up but that would not happen either. so, I gulped
and did a file maintenance ...THAT WORKED OK
Same thing happened to me the next day......THAT WORKED OK AGAIN
Then just now I tried to do a search for a last name in the name list and it
all got locked up. So I gulped again and ended the non responsive
program.........THAT WORKED OK AGAIN
So far I have been backing up my data AFTER the file maintenance thing and
have been lucky
I defrag my 180 gigabytes every Wed, back up Legacy before shutting down for
the day.
MY QUESTION IS THIS, is there a regular time schedule I should be doing
maintenance and repair ?
