I belive it's Acrobat 3.x.  If you open a pdf file in Acrobat Reader, go to
File > Document Properties for details on the pdf information.  I don't know
why Adobe didn't make Acrobat backwardly compatible with earlier files!

I don't know what the plans are for updating the creator.  Actually, we've
had very few requests for the ability to edit the pdf files - probably
because so few people can afford Acrobat!
