Using the ToDo's will solve the problem for long term, but for a quick list for who
to make ToDo's for, go to Search.
Use Individual - Birth Date - Equal to - ' '. leaving the field blank. Next you would
either create the ToDo's, or (if a bunch) Tag everyone for multiple create's

Kan, That's where the to-do's come in. You can make a to-do for each person
for whom you want to find the obituaries or death certificates. As you find
them, you can mark it closed or just delete it. If you wanted to find all
of the obituaries you needed to find in a particular locality, you can use
the filter options at the bottom of the to-do screen to make yourself a
list. It is a great feature. In your research notes, you can keep track of
what has been done for a particular person, too, for a more permanent record
if you delete the to-do's when you have finished them. Hope this helps.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Research Log?

Hello:

I have sort of a quandary and would appreciate some
input from you seasoned Legacy users. I probably won't
explain this very well, but maybe you will understand
my question.

I ran a report of individuals in my file who I want to
find death certificates and obituaries for. Is there a
method using Legacy (or another program) whereby I can
keep up with who I've found these items for, who I
didn't find items for, and who I still need to find
items for? I just can't figure out how to keep up with
this so I won't be duplicating my efforts on research
trips. I suppose I could use Tags, but was wondering
if there was a better way? I looked in the Archives
and found references to Clooz and Genota, but don't
think this is what I need?

Any advice or suggestions appreciated.

Thanks.

Ken
