Peter, perhaps you should avoid the use of ANY abreviations to
overcome this problem. A good rule of thumb is to spell out places in
full. To quickly change your "Nz" or "NZ", do what one other writer
suggested ("search and replace"), but this time replace "Nz" with "New
Zealand" (no quotes of course).
