Two items that you may find helpful to you are:
(1) The source citation examples on the Legacy TIPS website at http://legacyfamilytree.com/tipsSourceSamples.asp -especially the part on census citations.
(2) The Leagcy's training CD 'Legacy's Ultimate Guide to Sources'. Let me assure you that I do not get a cut from Legacy for promoting their CDs but I have found all of their CDs very helpful--especially this one.
