1. Add mother with name and information
2. add a new husband called "Unknown" and save.
3 The Marriage information screen pops up and in status select Unmarried. In marriage Notes explain.
4 Add child.
5. To the left on Family view, persons information it's a buttom that adds wife/husband or right click at a person and choose add husbamnd/wife.
Add children.
A good adwise: Let the cursor move on the screen and see what pops up, right click here and ther.

I have a record of a woman who had a child by an unknown father. Later she married and had other children. How do I enter the first child as *her* child but not as the child of her husband? I'm new to Legacy, so fairly explicit instructions would be useful.
I have tried searching the archive, but for some reason the postings with subject lines which seem to be relevant can't be retrieved.
