What I was asking originally was whether there was some way to "link" a file (could be a spreadsheet, a text file, a MS Word document, etc.) to an individual in Legacy. ...In short, the answer appears to be "no" but I do hope the Legacy folks are listening as this would seem to be a killer feature!
Jane, I'm wondering if you didn't see the reply that was posted a few days ago:
Hi Jane,
I checked the list archives ( http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ) and found this from "Brenda":
Yes, you can attach any type of file but you have to choose the "Video"
button on the picture screen. Then change files of type to "all files (*.*)" and the PDF filename that you want. This will attach the PDF to the event and you can doubleclick it to launch your PDF reader.<<
Is this not the feature you were asking about? You can link just about any type of file to an individual by choosing the "picture icon" and attaching, not a photo, but, using the Video option, the filename of the document, spreadsheet, etc. It is a misnomer, really, that the button says "Video" when it really allows any type of external file.
Hope this helps, Brenda.
