It has nothing to do with RINs.
You set it from Options > Set Preferred Startup Family.
You tell Legacy to use this on Options > Customise - General Tab look for Starting Family and make sure the right radio button is chosen.
If you want your second spouse to show every time you navigate to yourself, you need her to be your Preferred Spouse - choose her in the Wife list.
Again, nothing to do with RINs.

Hello
I decided to change the RINs of my children to be in the order that I wanted them in.
I have been married twice, I have two sons from the first marriage and one from the second
I am RIN 1 my second wife is RIN 2 but my youngest son is RIN 5 and my eldest one is RIN 3
I wanted my preferred Family to be my second marriage I changed my youngest son to number 3 and my eldest son to 5, in short I changed them over.
Thereafter when I started Legacy the preferred family came up as my first marriage with my eldest son showing but not my second son. I tried everything to rectify the problem but eventually changed the RINs back again and everything worked ok.
What am I doing wrong
Hope I have explained this problem Regards John
