I think because you put C on the right, then B is not technically "between"
C and A. Try putting grandmother (B and C's mother) on right.
And don't feel "lost" - there are still bugs in the Relationship Calculator.

Hi, Paula
The child "C" was already attached to her adoptive parents (as
"adopted). But I only verified her birth parents today. They were
already in my database, so I attached her to them.
I should say, that nearly everyone is a Mackay, and there are numerous
couples with the same forenames. So Relationship Calculator seemed the
easiest way to find out if it was a family adoption! That's why I put
the child "A" on Left, and her adoptive mother "C" on right. But it
showed them only as mother and child.
Then I used the Calculator on both sets of parents, which revealed the
two "mothers" as sisters.
Still feel the blood relationship should take precedence in the
Calculator. But guess I don't understand how these things work <vbg>.
Regards,
Mary

With "A" on Left, I selected "C" (her Aunt, and adoptive mother) on
the right. I would have expected their true relationship to show, ie
the common ancestor should be "C"'s father/"A"'s grandfather.
But all I
