I enter the census for each individual, using the clipboard to copy the
census notes. (See Geoff Rasmussen's notes at the Legacy site).
Putting them under the marriage would cause way too many problems for
me. This way I have all the census info for each person, children in
the census, live-in relatives and othe extraneous people, with the
person themselves, so if I need to print info for a specific person I
have it all.

I have browsed through the Archives, but I was not able to find a
satisfactory answer. However, Rose seems to have a good idea using the
private option. I suppose that I will play with that, unless someone comes
up with clear-cut instructions as to how legacy recommends that we enter the
census data. Thank you for the help.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Census Events, - anyone know the way correct to enter
census events
Does anyone know the correct way to enter census events. Should each
individual be entered in their own event record or should the whole family
be entered under the marriage record? the Individual method is good for
research information in chronological events, and individual reports, but it
reads badly in other reports due to the redundancy of the information. Any
suggestions? Maybe I'm trying to have my cake and eat it too.
