Resending this one too, as it hasn't appeared yet. Don't know what's happening, but this has happened a couple of times in recent days.

Mary,
The 'hot spot' in this particular instance is the word "in" between the date
and place fields for Birth, Christening/Baptism/ and Death. The term 'hot
spot' is being used here because the original discussion began with a
complaint that some 'hot spots' extend quite a way from the box they relate
to which can cause accidental clicking and therefore accidental adding of
information that one is unaware of having done. A 'hot spot' is a place
that the programmers can make active to facilitate data entry - maybe
allowing you to repeat previous information without having to retype it,
moving between multiple spouses or children, or clicking in the vicinity of
a check box to select it rather than having to click exactly inside the box
etc. In the Individuals Information screen you can use the 'hot spot' to
add the last used location. If you right click on the word "in" you have
the option of using any of the last ten used locations. Saves a lot of
typing, especially if you are entering details about a lot of people from
the same town etc.
Hope this has removed your confusion.
Cheers
Jan

Well, I am baffled by "It is adding data by clicking on the 'hot
spot'."". Honestly, I don't know what the hot spot is :-(
I also notice that if I enter a NEW Location, I have to leave the
field to verify it, then of course the cursor is in the wrong field to
attach the Source.
